Ric Veda: Harmonium, Vocals
Not since Nico and Ginsburg has someone so unabashedly approached making dark folk music with a harmonium. Ric Veda's sound consists of indian drones with melodies that range from old gospel, church like hymns to Celtic musings. Drunk Bob Dylan with an organ. At it's most experimental, Ric Veda creates swirling desert soundscapes with vocals that evoke a man with a megaphone calling out to the blowing sands. I bet you do not have anything like this in your record collection.
